Theatre on the Lake Presents "Miss Nelson is Missing"
Wednesday, July 11, 18, 25 & August 1, 2012 - 11:00 a.m.
This is a wonderful time for children to experience the theatre at this early matinee. Adapted from the book by Harry Allard and James Marshall; the rowdy studets of Room 207 get their just desserts when their beloved teacher, Miss Nelson, disappears only to be replaced by Viola Swamp, the scariest substitute teacher ever. The school principal and a bumbling detective are baffled. Help the students find Miss Nelson in this musical romp. Enjoy a yummy dessert after the performance and visit with the cast of the performance.

A 1965 Broadway Play by Neil Simon, followed by a successful film and television series, about two friends trying to share an apartment, but their ideas of housekeeping and lifestyles are as different as day and night.
Theatre on the Lake Presents “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee”
July 19-21 & 25-27, 2012 - 7:30 p.m.
A one act muscial comedy conceived by Rebecca Feldman with music and lyrics by William Finn, a book by Rachel Sheinkin and additional material by Jay Reiss. The show centers on a fictional spelling bee set in a geographically ambiguous Putnam County Middle School. Six quarky adolescents compete in the bee, run by three equally quarky grown ups.

August 1-4, 7:30 p.m.
A play by Jerome Lawrence & Robert E. Lee, based on a real life case in 1925, two great lawyers argue the case for and against a science teacher accused of the crime of teaching evolution.
Chamber After Hours
August 8, 6:00-8:00 p.m.
The Garrett Chamber sponsors monthly Business After Hours events to offer social and networking opportunities for members, in a casual atmosphere. These get-togethers are graciously hosted by area towns or business.
